This is where history happened! Fort Phil Kearny, the Wagon Box fight, the Fetterman Massacre, remnants of the Bozeman Trail, Where Red Cloud camped, where Buffalo Bill slept. There are endless places of historic interest here in Story, Sheridan and Buffalo.

Shown here is Tensleep Canyon a scenic drive up Highway 16 west of Buffalo. There are many scenic places to drive up in the Big Horn Mountains and through Cloud Peak Wilderness area. Take Highway 16 west of Buffalo or Highway 14 west of Sheridan. See wildlife like deer, antelope, moose, and elk. You may even see the occasional black bear!
